Programs and Services offered at Ramona Senior Center
All of the programs provide a context for making friends, an essential element in maintaining health and independence. Strong networks and a social system are key elements to breaking through isolation. Generating connections prolongs independent living and well-being.

Meal on Wheels
Our Ramona Meals on Wheels delivery program is for seniors 60 and over, who qualify under the county guidelines with the appropriate ADLs (Activity of Daily Living).
The suggested contribution is $5.00 a meal.
We currently serve nine zip codes. We deliver to Ramona (92065), Julian (92036), Santa Ysabel (92070), Pala (92059), Palomar (92060), Pauma/ La Jolla Indian Reservation (92061), Ranchita (92066), Valley Center (92082), Warner Springs/Sunshine Summit (92086), and Los Coyotes (92086).

Nutrition Services
The Ramona Senior Center congregate (dine-in) nutrition services include a lunch program for seniors 60 and older, with a suggested contribution of $5.00 per meal. We also offer some information and some referrals to seniors in need. Surplus bread and other baked goods are distributed weekly.
We operate on suggested contributions only and no senior will be denied a meal for inability to make a contribution!

Health & Education
Health & Education Services include annual flu shot clinics. The Ramona Senior Center conducts health, nutrition, and well-being information presentations as they become available. Presentations also provide information about pre-planning for your future care.
The Ramona Senior Center has low impact Chair Yoga group lead by an instructor twice a week.

Transportation
Transportation is provided Monday - Friday for seniors who are 60 and older, live in a six-mile radius of the Ramona Senior Center, and are eating lunch at the center. There is a suggested contribution of $1.00 each way. Pick-up is from 9:00-11:00 am and return rides are from 1:00-3:00 pm.
